Kary Diamond ready to inspire

Bachelor of Science in Nursing student Kary Diamond is ready to spread her musical wings with her latest single Inspire You .

The song not only speaks to ordinary folk but also the disenfranchised and socio-economically challenged of this world, while offering words of empathy and encouragement.

It was produced by Clifton “Johnny” Clarke.  She hopes the song will help in making a positive change.  The singer, born Karyann Lawson, is from Clarendon. She is currently pursuing studies at the Care Hope College in Florida.

The lyrics to Inspire You resonate with Kary Diamond's own personal life. Her life has been filled with trials and triumphs growing up as a child in rural Jamaica. The untimely passing of her mother subsequently led to her living in the streets as a homeless person. However, it was her faith and resolve that kept her going.

Soon thereafter she found herself working at a magazine company and local radio station where her childhood love for music was further amplified.

Inspired by acts such as Bounty Killer, Sean Paul and Shaggy, Kary Diamond began seriously delving into music and soon recorded her first album which unfortunately was never released.

Reflecting on all that she has endured Kary Diamond says: “In spite of my circumstances and all that I've been through. I knew in my heart that I was destined to be successful. If you can dream it, then believe it, then you will have it.”

Her inspirational album No Pressure was released in 2010. Pretty Face was released this year.

“The lyrics from both albums were inspired by my life's journey and reflects on my struggles and victories,” Kary said.
